Bridge to Treasure Island: This is a painting of the bridge leading into Treasure Island. It was done plein air on a calm, sunny, summer day. I wanted to capture the strong sunlight and shadows on the bridge. As well as the reflection of the bridge in the serene water. This bridge is a favorite subject of mine and I always enjoy painting it. . 6” x 9” plus matting and frame. $125.

Eiffel Tower: I visited Paris last May and fell in love with the city. There is so much art and architecture to see. The Eiffel Tower is amazing and spectacularly big. This is a painting of the tower seen during the day I visited. It had just stopped raining and the sun was trying to peek through the clouds billowing across the sky. It was awe inspiring and I just had to paint it. 7” x 10” plus matting and frame. $150.

‘One-of-a-kind’ & ‘unique’ aren’t complimentary enough words to describe this functional mixed media table lamp “Blue Unknown” by ANYTHING GOES guest artist Maggi.

“There are uncharted Galaxies slumbering within you; infinite as the stars and brighter than 1000 suns. Step boldly into the Blue Unknown and harness the fire that has awaited your Soul’s awakening.” The Helix Nebula, also known as “The Eye of God”, is an example of a planetary nebula that sheds its outer layers near the end of its evolution. I created both the poem and the painted imagery as a testament of all that is possible as we shed our own layers and give ourselves over to our own evolution. As with each of my pieces, there are small “Easter Eggs” sprinkled throughout the piece for those so inclined to dive deep into ‘The Blue Unknown’.”

The end of an era.

With full hearts and a touch of bittersweetness, Geoffrey and I announce that the upcoming December SMALL WORKS guest art exhibit will be the last one we curate and promote in the main gallery space at Five Deuces Galleria. This decision marks the close of a remarkable chapter that spanned over five years—a chapter filled with creativity, community, and an abundance of unforgettable memories.

To every artist who shared their talent, and every patron who walked through our doors and believed in what we were building together: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made this journey beautiful. You gave us friendships, stories, laughter, and moments we will treasure forever.

Together, we achieved so much—countless art sales, vital exposure for both new and established artists, and a string of awards that recognized our little corner of the art world. Along the way, we had a lot of fun too.

As for what happens next? Both for our main gallery space and for me personally, there is a great deal of uncertainty. I will say that Geoffrey and I are looking forward to having more time to work on our own art and spend more time with our families (and plan to remain open in our individual studios for patrons and visitors). It’s time for a new chapter, whatever that may bring. And while we won’t dive into the reasons for this goodbye here, just know that you, our community, have made every bit of this experience worthwhile.

Thank you for the memories. This isn’t just goodbye—it’s a thank-you wrapped in a promise to cherish every moment we’ve shared.

In the meantime, we have a fantastic ANYTHING GOES exhibit currently in the gallery, and our SMALL WORKS exhbit will be up from 12/6 - 1/13. Come see it. Do what you can to support us, our artists, and our gallery before the tide changes.

Only a few days left to submit art (including ARTFUL ORNAMENTS) for our December 6-weeks long SMALL WORKS guest art exhibit. In addition to the art that will be on our gallery walls, we are planning to put up a holiday tree to showcase and sell your original, handmade ornaments that celebrate the season.

Size limit: Artwork must not exceed 20” on its longest edge (excluding the frame).

Coinciding with the gift giving season, all art should be priced right for the holidays to allow all art lovers to purchase unique, original works of art for gift giving or as additions to their expanding collections.

THIS IS JULIE HAURA

I have been painting and selling my work for about 5 years, but I still don't feel like a real artist. I still have a lot to learn about the craft and about myself. In the meantime, my happy place is the meditation that comes from a Zen night of painting - the right time, enough of the right time, and a loose mind in my studio that effortlessly leads me to surprising results.
